Chunky Cowl

His cowl was made on straight needles and seamed. It took about 3 hours and it's very cozy!

Fish Scale Lace Knitted Tam

I have been working on this hat and that like shows it as a work in progress. I have finished and if I do say so myself, it is magnificent.

Garden Update

So, I officially have one watermelon without rabbit teeth marks in it and one that has been nibbled, I have lots of flowers and about 5 cucumbers, but hopefully that will increase, as I have tried to pollinate them myself, but I don't know how that turned out.

Earring Madness!!

I am trying my hand at making earrings with my trusty supply of buttons and my glue gun in my artillery. I also tried to make some very small fabric flowers, didn't work out too well, I will have to keep practicing.

Second Attempt at Nesaia Hat

So, I posted pics from when I made this hat the first time, but little did I know I made it inside out :/ The pattern can be found here. I decided to use the yarn that I dyed with food coloring and Kool-Aid to make it that you can found here. This is my progress thus far.

Goodwill Find

So.....after a very successful trip to the Goodwill Outlet (my favorite store, ever), I found this atrocious record of some people singing Earth, Wind and Fire songs with this God-awful cover and I thought of my gal pal Dulce and bought it as wall art. It will definitely be making the journey back to Gambier to find its new home on our wall, if we ever get a room.

Knotted Tie Necklace

I inherited a lot of ties from my grandfather a few years ago and I made a large purse out of most of them but there are still some stragglers that could use a good upcycle. I stumbledupon this awesome link to make a necklace out of ties. The lady on this original uses discounted beads from Micheal's to make her necklaces, but after stocking overpriced beads at Hancock Fabrics for the last week I knew I didn't want to spend that much on beads so my other ideas were to use rolled paper beads and the glass rocks that people use in vases as bead substitutes. Here is what I came up with.

This whole sack of rocks cost $1 at Dollar Tree, you can find them almost anywhere, but places like Target and Walmart will rip you off and charge like $3 or $5 for them. If you are like me and refuse to be conned, don't pay more than $1
